RESERVE OFFICERS
Officer Steve Perek
Reserve officers play an integral part in the Syracuse Police Department, as they supplement our police force as a whole. Reserve officers are held to the same high standard as our full time officers. When a reserve officer is appointed, they must complete a 40-hour pre-basic course. Upon completion of pre-basic they must maintain 24 hours of training per year. Reserve officers patrol and enforce state and federal laws in our community along with our full time officers. Each reserve officer is expected to work a minimum of 16 hours a month.
