Mission Statement
The mission of the Syracuse Police Department is to serve our community in a manner the epitomizes the ideals of the Constitution of the United States, the Consitution of the State of Indiana and in the best interest of our citizens.
We will dedicate ourselves to improve the quality of life in our community for our residents, visitors and future generations through professional and quality service. We are committed to the protection of life and property, prevention of crime, reducing fear, providing a safe and wholesome family atmoshphere for all to enjoy. We continue to work to develop a partnership with our community to solve problems and to be responsive to the needs and concerns of our community.
