Henry Ward Park is named for one of the co-founders of Syracuse, Henry Ward, who was the first Postmaster in Syracuse and an Associate Judge in Kosciusko County.

Henry Ward Park has experienced many updates since 1992 including the addition of a boardwalk, fishing pier and a recently updated playground.

This park, shaded by canopy trees, lies along a channel leading to Syracuse Lake.  It is a popular fishing spot and hosts many Bass Fishing Tournaments.  It is conveniently located adjacent to the public access site for Syracuse Lake.
